We have a lot of fun and special fellowships scheduled over the next several weeks, and almost everything is "guest friendly," so everyone is encouraged to invite neighbors/co-workers/family/friends who don't already have a church family. Mark your calendars and watch for emails with more information, and don't forget about our regularly scheduled Wednesday night and Sunday evening services (please view the attached calendar for a complete listing of all events over the next month).
11/26- Thanksgiving Eve service, 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to join us for this special service (please note: there will be no Word of Life programs).
11/30- Christmas card drop box will be in the foyer until 12/10. The youth group will deliver your cards free-of-charge to all attendees of VLBF! Please use FIRST AND LAST NAMES to address your cards.
12/4- M.O.M.S. Group @ the Shady Hollow Pavilion in Sand Run MetroPark, 11:00 a.m. See Deb Capper or Ros Burkett for details.
- Men's Night Out/Game Night @ Shady Hollow Pavilion, 7:00 p.m. Please bring a snack/appetizer, 2-liter, and cards or game.
12/5- Special Ladies' Evening Out @ Melting Pot, 7:00 p.m. There will be at least one group going up early to do some shopping around Legacy Village before dinner. 12/7- Giving Tree gifts are due under the tree. The Giving Tree will be in the foyer and all gifts will benefit the Akron Pegnancy Services. Contact Nanette Maletich @ 330.854.6884 with any questions.
12/10- Last night for Word of Life programs until after the Christmas holiday. Also, last day to drop off your Christmas cards in the drop box (cards will be passed out Dec. 14th and 21st).
12/13- Adult Fellowship @ the home of Jim & Ros Burkett, 6:30-9:00 p.m. Please bring an appetizer or dessert to share and a 'food-related item' for the white elephant gift exchange. Also, please dress party-casual for pictures.
12/14- Special evening service- making Christmas cards and caroling for our elderly and shut-ins. This is a fun and special way to minister to some of the most wonderful people in our church family:) If you are interested in heading up this event, please contact Sarah @ sarahkoehler@gmail.com.
12/18- Ladies' Night Out @ Cracker Barrell, 7:00 p.m.
12/19- Annual Christmas Dinner @ Yocono's, 7:00 p.m. Please rsvp Deb Capper tdjmcapper@hotmail.com or 330.785.3449. Due to funds needing to be allotted elsewhere, the church will not be picking up the tab this year. Meal selection prices will range between $10-$15 and include your drink, soup, salad, bread, main course and dessert (gratuity not included).
12/20- Youth group Christmas party, 3:00-9:00ish. Plan on ice skating, white elephant gift exchange and a Christmas movie. More details to come.
